Once you have located a unit, the next steps involve several important procedures:
- Owner’s Screening Process: You will need to pass the owner's screening process for the unit.
- Submission of Owner's Packet: The owner of the unit must complete the Owner Leasing Packet, which includes the Request for Tenancy Approval (RFTA), and submit it to the Housing Authority.
- Review and Inspection: The Housing Authority's ownership team will review the submitted packet for completeness and then forward it to the inspections department to schedule a unit inspection.
- Approval to Move In: If the unit passes inspection, you will be cleared to move in.
Owners should regularly check their email for any correspondence from the Long Beach Housing Authority to ensure all steps proceed smoothly and timely.
